NICK CRAFT, ESQ.

Prior to finally settling down in Arizona, Nick lived in Utah, South Korea, and the metro areas of New York City and Washington D.C.

Nick focuses his practice on ensuring the continued success of small and large businesses. He enjoys working personally with his clients to understand their current needs and facilitate long term goals. Nick’s approach to business consulting seeks to find a harmony between addressing today’s challenges, remaining nimble, and preparing for future growth.

Prior to joining Blake & Pulsifer, Nick worked as a litigation attorney for the most prolific trademark filing law firm in the United States where he collected nearly $5,000,000 in settlements for his clients. He also served as an associate general counsel and the attorney manager for the firm. Nick gained significant experience in federal regulatory compliance in his prior positions at a securities brokerage firm and for an international Fortune 100 Aerospace company where he quickly rose to Director of Export Compliance. In all these roles, Nick evaluated the complex needs of his clients and developed business and legal strategies that supported long term success. He has experience in contract review and negotiation, development of standard policies and procedures, and numerous other business and legal chalenges.

Nick received a Master’s degree from Seton Hall University, and his law degree from the University of Utah. While in law school, Nick worked as a law clerk for the Utah Attorney General’s office. He also served as an Associate Editor of the Law Review, a Project Leader on the Global Justice Through Research Think Tank, and a Team Member and Oralist on the law school’s Jessup International Moot Court Team. Nick also received a CALI award for Contracts and a Nathan Burkan Memorial Competition Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers for his essay discussing copyright law issues.

In his free time, Nick enjoys soccer, camping, traveling, golfing, and attending local music and sporting events.

Nick is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, the State Bar of New York, and the District of Columbia Bar.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

  • Tried a federal bench trial as plaintiff’s counsel in an unfair competition case out of San Francisco in the Northern District of California.
  • Served as lead plaintiff’s attorney in a federal settlement conference that resulted in a settlement agreement.
  • Served as part of an emergency international team to travel to a foreign site and ensure that all agreements and other necessary documents were in place in order to provide for the smooth transition of production in case of an unexpected disruption to production.
  • Successfully obtained a judgment for thousands of dollars in sanctions and a contempt fine against a third party on behalf of his client.
  • Volunteered as a staff attorney for a Washington DC based non-profit:
  • Volunteered as a Director for a Sudanese refugee non-profit organization to help refugees start businesses and resolve other legal issues that arose after settling in the U.S.
